Philadelphia "Power Couple" and Portside Parents Create a Buzz Locally and Internationally8/19/2019
Leo and Amy are the parents of Nico, 7, and Mila, 5, both of whom attend Portside's After School Arts Program throughout the school year. The couple has been incredibly supportive of our organization since Nico began taking classes here. They have made contributions to Portside which have helped our non-profit arts programs flourish and expand. We are very thankful to have such generous and prominent, inspirational figures in the Fishtown/Kensington community be a presence at Portside.
The Voloshins have their hands full with a multitude of different projects and endeavors. Amy travels to India frequently to visit with the mostly female factory owners and workers, skilled artisans who work in ethical labor conditions, who create the textiles and products for their Printfresh notebook line and clothing. The couple founded Fishtown Flea as well as participate in the event, and recently opened up a Voloshin clothing-line show room at Jasper Studios. In addition, they opened up Paper Box Studios a number of years ago, another successful and bustling making space for artists and creatives. They always continue to be influencial and supportive individuals in the community, and Portside supports everything that they do!

Most of the clothes they sell there actually came from other countries. Some are even branded. You just need to browse all clothing racks because there are many clothes that you will love. They have clothes that are being sold in malls, but they sell it for a cheaper price!

Thank you for mentioning how a typical ballroom dance shoe is at least half a shoe size smaller than your normal size. My daughter wants to get into ballroom dancing. We weren't sure about how big a of a shoe to buy her but now I do.
