Portside aligned their nine month program with the seven elements of arts; line, shape, form, value, space, color and texture. Students work through each segment building a strong foundation of visual arts skills, developmental skills and techniques. Many lessons are formed around well-known artists allowing students to develop an appreciation for artists, art history and other cultures.

Portside's After School Arts Program 2015 "Happy Video"
Portside's After School Arts Program teacher Sarah Damiano and our students created this wonderful video for the children who reside in the Butterfly Home in Nepal. The recently built Butterfly Home was demolished by the devastating earth quake earlier this year. Miss Sarah and the children created a beautiful butterfly quilt to be hung in the new facility once it is re-built. This was a wonderful experience for our students and we hope it makes the children in Nepal "HAPPY!"
